Westworld Line Up Announced.

Well I've been a bit quiet on here of late sorry about that! Since my last post the site turned 3 and we had an amazing Gathering!

So first bit of news for you this year as I'm sure you know all the Strength tour dates and all about the Strength and Majority releases....

The final line up of the Westworld Weekend has been confirmed and as previously announced Theatre Of Hate will headline the Friday night with Spear Of Destiny taking top billing on the Saturday. Guest slots are Death Valley Surfers on Friday and Steve Grantley's RT-Zed returning to the Westworld for Saturday. Folk Grinder will have a Saturday afternoon spot hopefully previewing material from their upcoming second album and Kirk Brandon will be performing an Akoustik set.

Mission head out in disguise!

The Mission are heading out for a series of live dates in smaller venues under the guise of the Blood Brothers as part of some warm up dates booked around next years festival appearances. All dates are now on sale via the Mission store and tickets can be bought separately or as part of a bundle featuring an exclusive t-shirt.

James & Craig on charity album

James Stevenson & Craig Adams both feature (alongside a cast of 200 well known names) on the charity album "Sex Drugs and HIV" a project some 19 years in the making created by Mat Sargent (Chelsea, Sham 69, Splodgenessabounds).

The album will split it's fund raising efforts between the Terrence Higgins Trust, Release, Rape Crisis and Cancer Research UK and is available now from Amazon and the projects own website. For more details, videos and musician info click HERE!

New Spear Of Destiny album available to preorder

As promised yesterday "31 (Thirty One)" the new album from Spear Of Destiny is now available to order from the Kirk Brandon web site.

There are ten different "tiers" which allow you to preorder anything from just a digital copy of the album (plus updates) for a tenner right up to the £500 one off Ultimate tier! Thankfully most tiers aren't priced that high and I will probably plump for the £30 option with signed cd, bonus tracks and t-shirt!

Westworld Weekend details....Dave Sharp added!

The details of this years Westworld Weekend have been announced with Dave Sharp appearing Saturday afternoon as well as Steve Allan Jones.

Day tickets are available for both days (£18.50 for the Friday and £24 for the Saturday) as well as the full weekend ticket which is priced at £39.

Spear & Chelsea at Undercover Festival

Spear Of Destiny and Chelsea are new additions to the bill of the Undercover Festival which takes place at the Bisley Pavillion in Woking from the 19th, 20th & 21st of September.

Weekend tickets are a pretty reasonable £70 with day tickets £25 or £35 depending on the day. The bill is still being finalised so keep up to date by visiting the official website HERE

Westworld Weekend XII details announced

The twelfth Westworld Weekend will take place on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of May 2014. Two full band shows and an aKoustiK set are promised and The Pack material will also be featured alongside that of Spear and ToH and will be held as usual at The Box in Crewe.

Early bird tickets are available now at the price of £34 and you will get your ticket sent in a Xmas card from Kirk himself!

Blood Brothers Friday 13th bash!

The Blood Brothers - the worlds best tribute to The Mission ;) will be playing an intimate gig at the Georgian Theatre in Stockton-On-Tees on Friday 13th of December.

Spear Of Destiny - Bedford Esquires Friday 18th October 2013 (30 Years and Counting Tour)

I'd never been to Esquires in Bedford but given the chance to see the mighty Spear in a more intimate surrounding I couldn't miss it! How do you fit 30 years of brilliant and varied music into one evening? Well they managed it - ok there were some songs missing I would have liked (top of my list the awesome "Kalashnikov" from "Omega Point") and I was initially concerned there was no "Liberator" or "Mickey" on the set list but never fear they were saved for the encore!

Spear Of Destiny are releasing a 4 disc box set on the 1st October to celebrate their 30th anniversary this year. The set is called "Thirty Years And Counting" ,comes in a hinged tin and is limited to 500 copies. All in all you get 45 career spanning tracks featuring 3 unreleased songs including "Falling Down" from the bands new album due out next year with the title of "31".
