Snowden, Ben Nevis and Holy Land Rocks!

Some LHS dates for your diary....

A hopefully warmer, drier Ben Nevis and Snowden Rocks as both this year will take place in June with Ben Nevis on the 14th and Snowden on the 21st. Watch out for registration soon on the LHS site.

The other exciting announcement is that Holy Land Rocks will take place starting on the 24th October and finishing on 2nd November. I believe you will soon be able register your interest in this amazing journey while they finalise a few details.

 If you have always thought about doing one of the Rocks events why not make a difference this year, it's the year of Declaration after all!

Mike, Jules & family interview on Welsh TV

Mike, Jules, Dylan and Evan have all been interviewed for the Welsh TV programme Heno - which my Welsh to English translator tells me means "tonight". The programme is totally in the Welsh language so apart from being about Ben Nevis and LHS I really can't figure out that much more but for all the Welsh speakers and those that are curious you can watch the interview HERE

Love Hope Strength Fundraising

Just a shout out and a plug to some friends upcoming Love Hope Strength events in case any of you wanted to donate...

Next month sees the two Rocks Events in the UK with Ben Nevis on the 7th of September and Snowdon the following week on the 14th. I won't be at either events but we will still be bringing you some pictures thanks to friends doing them.

Then in October Lydia will be flying to the States to start her cycle ride of Route 66 - yes, you read that right - cycling Route 66!!! That's 2500 miles in a month! Ben Nevis Rocks 2 announced.

After the success of last year Love Hope Strength have announced the 2nd Ben Nevis Rocks will take place on Saturday 7th September 2013. The climb will be followed by a gig in the evening with full details to be confirmed later in the year. Check out the LHS site for up to the date info and how to apply.

We will let you know when the other "Rocks" events are announced.

Ben Nevis Rocks band line up announced

The band that will play at the Ben Nevis Rocks concert on Friday 24th August has been confirmed as a Celtic Supergroup that features....

Mike Peters, James Stevenson, Smiley all from The Alarm of course! Bruce & Jamie Watson from Big Country and former Simple Mind Derek Forbes.

Ben Nevis Rocks details and Amazing LHS Auction

The details for the Ben Nevis climb and concert have now been announced. Their will be an acoustic concert on Friday 24th August at the Inverlochy Castle before moving indoors at the BA Club in Fort William. The concert itself will feature sets by The Alarm as well as Bruce & Jamie Watson of Big Country before they come together to play a set of tracks by both bands. This replaces the previously advertised event as Mike races off to Holland for his appearance at the Pink Pop Festival.

Now the bad news for climbers....the LHS fund raising climb on Saturday 25th is now due to start at 5a.m.!!! OUCH! Mike will play a set at the summit (weather permitting) with guests at approximately 9.30a.m.

AMAZING LHS AUCTION

This is one hell of a prize for one VERY lucky person so be prepared to dig deep for this truely once in a lifetime opportunity......

The winner gets to travel with Mike Peters, Bruce & Jamie Watson from Ben Nevis to Inverness Airport where you will board a private charter to Holland (therefore you will need a valid passport and travel insurance) to watch Big Country play at the Pink Pop Festival. If that wasn't good enough you then get to travel back on the Big Country Tour Bus to see the headline appearance at the Solfest in Cumbria. You will have to find your own way back from there back you can invite 3 friends to share your experience at the Solfest.
