The Cult...The Mission...The Alarm?

Rumours are starting to spread tonight that The Alarm may be set to replace Killing Joke for the imminent Cult & Mission dates. At the moment these are rumours and by no means should you take this as official or something that will happen so do NOT get those tickets just yet unless you want to see 2 brilliant bands of course! There are lots of things that could support the rumour....Craig and Billy Duffy for example however this would mean Craig doing back to back sets which has been done before but it is certainly not the norm. So will we see Mike or the full band at these shows if it happens?

OUR ADVICE IS MONITOR ALL OFFICIAL SITES AND TWITTER/FACEBOOK FEEDS and be prepared to act fast! Ticketmaster has removed Killing Joke from the listings but currently only have The Cult & The Mission listed.

Please take this as it is intended...IT IS A RUMOUR...but if it happens you will want to be there!

Killing Joke issue a statement as Jaz Coleman goes awol

Killing Joke have issued a statement regarding the upcoming tour with The Mission & The Cult. The band issued the statement via their Facebook page in which they also say they are concerned about the welfare of the missing Jaz Coleman.
Killing Joke @ The Roundhouse photo by Joff

The statement reads....

"A statement was posted on Facebook, reputedly by our singer, maligning both The Cult and The Mission and pulling us out of the shows.
He is now AWOL and has not contacted any of his band mates.

We are deeply embarrassed by this and offer our sincere apologies to all involved.

We are concerned about our missing singer's welfare.

Killing Joke made a collective decision to play with The Cult and The Mission in September.

It was agreed by all of the band that we would do these shows. Indeed, we thought that they were somrthing to look forward to, even though they were downsized.

We would still like to honour our commitment to this tour, the other bands, and all the Gatherers and people who have already bought tickets and made travel arrangements.

If this proves not possible, Killing Joke will make alternative arrangements to compensate for the trouble caused.

Meanwhile we are doing everything we can to make this tour happen and locate our missing singer"

Killing Joke pull out of Cult/Mission tour?

It would appear that Killing Joke have pulled out of the triple bill tour with The Cult and The Mission. No official reason has been given as of yet but the bands Facebook page states....

"We'll make an official announcement clearing up any questions around the Cult tour very soon. Apologies for messing you guys around - you know that's never our intention, and we appreciate the support you have all shown us over the years. Regards."

Further info as we get it!

The Mission to play in South America

The Mission @ Brixton (photo by Joff!)
We are a little late posting this news but new dates have been added. For all of you in South America or for those that fancy a holiday to somewhere warmer The Mission 25th Anniversary shows are happening in May.

The dates so far are...

23rd May Lima, PERU
24th May Santiago, CHILE
26th May Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA
27th May Sao Paulo, BRAZIL

2nd June Mexico City, MEXICO

We were lucky enough to catch the Brixton Academy show last year (with the added bonus of a way too short Gene Loves Jezebel set which of course featured James Stevenson and an epic set from the Fields Of The Nephilim) which was a great night. The Mission seemed genuinely energised and happy to be playing together again and the set list was almost perfect!

Craig...Back In Black!
For more info on these dates and venues contact your (local) ticket agent....if anyone gets to see these shows then let us know! We would love a review or to see some pictures.
